Karina's Baby Belly

As I mentioned in my last post, I got the chance to photograph a couple of my pregnant cousins. I posted some of Lisa's shots then and now here are some of her sister's, Karina.. Isn't she stunning? I still can't get over how much she looks like my mom (if you don't know my mom, well, just believe me).

Lisa's Baby Belly

All of my cousins are gorgeous ladies (that's right, I have absolutely no boy cousins!). And this past year, several of them were pregnant. I had the coolest experience of photographing Lisa & Karina (sisters) along with their baby bellies. Since I'm tired tonight, I will only post a few of beautiful Lisa + her caaauuuuute son, Ty. The rest shall be along the way.

Julie

Just playing around with some black and white of Jules and her pretty face. Oh, and the balloon.

Meg No.2

Not long ago, I was working on a painting and I spotted a blob of paint run down my canvas. I grabbed a Q-tip and was about to wipe it away when I halted. It occured to me that this drip was actually really awesome. It wasn't the effect I was originally going for but it's what made my painting. I started thinking about paint splatter, drips, smudges and all those perceivable errors and how they can actually be really inspiring and thought provoking. I decided to try this effect (on purpose) on a model. Again, my best friend Meg is always ready and willing. So on a cold, rainy day, she stripped nekked for the camera. Ha, I'm such a dink. No, but she did pull her shirt down a bit just so that the camera only saw skin. Less distractions and more running paint. Drip, drip, drip..

Van Herks

This little boy, Lucas, is the cutest kid EVER. I say that about most kids but isn't he really!?? Take a looksie at him and his papa & pregnant mama as we explored the Blue Heroin Reserve in Chilliwack. Bahaha, I just totally saw what I typed and although I could backspace and change it to 'Blue HERON Reserve,' I won't.

Elan's Baby Belly

I had the opportunity and pleasure to do my first maternity shoot for my 2nd cousin, Elan (as well as a shoot of her family which I will put up in my next blog post). Elan is a lover of the outdoors and so we decided to shoot around the flippin' cold Vedder River in Chilliwack. Elan, in her sexy mama dress, was a hot pregnant tamale.
